PX HD Ingest Station

The ProxSys PX HD Ingest Station provides a simple to use solution for capture of up to two channels of HD content to a PX Media Server (PX-10/100/500). When combined with the Focus MMC-5HD high-definition capture board, it is possible to capture SD/HD-SDI based content and encode in user selectable MPEG-2 bit rates. Alternatively, DV/HDV based content can be ingested via FireWire.

Simple Media Ingest

PX HD Ingest includes the new Capture Suite 2.0 application that controls capture (with preview), provides metadata tag setup and logging during capture (using Function keys or on the Capture Suite UI) and controls upload to PX Media Servers. The PX HD Ingest Station also provides the capability to view logged metadata for a particular capture session.

The PX HD Ingest Station also includes the Focus PX Media Transfer Utility which allows for simple ingest of tapeless media to PX Media Servers such as Panasonic P2 cards (DV/DVCPRO, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD), Sony SxS Pro cards (HDV, XDCAM/XDCAM EX), and Optical Media or from a Focus DTE Recorder.

Focus MMC-5HD High Definition Capture Card

The MMC-5 HD High-Definition Capture Card provides the most complete multi-format MPEG2 encoding/decoding solution for HD and SD video capture.

The MMC-5 HD is directly compatible with the ProxSys PX Media Asset Management HD Ingest Station, and employs multiple high-speed hardware codecs optimized for real-time encoding/decoding of the XDCAM format. The MMC-5 HD SDI input accepts 1080i/720p HD or PAL/NTSC SD inputs from decks, cameras, switchers, converters or any other SDI source and encodes in one of a variety of XDCAM, XDCAM EX, or XDCAM HD formats.
